Terms and conditions for booked lessons

By agreeing to take lesson with LetsPassFast Ltd, you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and condition set out by LetsPassFast School of Motoring.

All driving courses must be paid full in advance of booking lesson with an instructor. Any additional lesson on top of the original course should be paid to the driving school in advance before the instructor can carry out any lessons.

All intensive courses are subject to availability and pre booked with the school and the instructor.

The instructor has the right to cancel or change lessons times at short notice with or without notice. We will try to give you as much notice as possible and where possible try to rearrange lesson time or try to provide another instructor to cover the lesson.

You must give at least 48 hours notice to change or cancel a pre booked lesson. If at least 48-hour notice is not given then you will be charged for the lesson. This is considered as a late cancellation fee. If you are more then 30mins late for your lesson then the instructor will charge you for the whole 2 hours of the lesson. The instructor will have the right to charge you for being late for your lesson, the instructor does not have to make up hours if you are running late for your lesson.

For all individual lessons (minimum of 2 hours) that is taken will be charged at a different rate to the course charges. For all individual lessons there will be a deposit of 4 hours of lesson fee and will be returned as a down payment towards the car hire for the day of test. You will still need to give at least 48-hour notice period for cancellation or change of lesson time. If this does not happen then this late cancellation fee will be deducted from the deposit and you will be required to top the deposit before you lesson with the instructor can be continued.

If an intensive course is booked and you wish to cancel this full refund will be given if cancelled 48 hours before the start date to the course. If you cancel within 48 hours then a £50 late cancellation and administration fee will be taken as the work was allocated out to the instructor by you cancelling the course at a short and the rest will be returned to you. If you cancel the course after you started the lesson we will refund any unused lesson charges minus £50 for late cancellation and administration fee.

All test are subject to availability from Driving Standard Agency (DSA). We can not guarantee test date and time at the end of the course, we also can not specify test centres that you will be taking your test. If a test is booked after 1600 hours (04:00pm) or on the weekends then there will be an extra £10 charge, please note that this charge is by DSA and not by LetsPassFast.

Once test has been booked it can be changed or cancelled if there is 3 clear working days notice. If changed or cancelled inside the 3 days then the student will lose fee for practical test and car hire fee and will have to repay to book the test and car hire fee.

Your driving instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the car if he / she feels that your driving standard are unacceptable for the test. This is to protect your safety and the well being of others. The measure is in accordance with the code of conduct for driving instructor set out by Driving Standard Agency (DSA). If this happens then you will lose fee for practical test and car hire for the day of test, unless 3 clear working days notice has been given.

If the DSA cancels a test then you will be charged car hire for day of test and will have to pay for car hire for the next test in advance. The loss of expenses can be claimed via DSA compensation form. If successful you should received full compensation, but please note that this is not compensation that the school will get involved with so it is your duty to discuss this with DSA and not the school.

All penalty and or fine charges such as speeding fine, penalty points, parking fines, dangerous or drink driving charges, bus lane contravention are the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle at the time when it is issued. This means that if a student is having a lesson and he or she is driving over speed limit and is caught on the camera the speeding fine and penalty points will be issued to the student and not the instructor.

Data protection

Your personal data is not disclosed to or shared with any third parties other than in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This may include, but is not restricted to, disclosure to the police, HM Revenue and Customs and local governments

Terms and conditions for Payment

By paying for a course online or by a credit card you will be charged 2% of the course to cover the credit and online charges.

Your credit and debit card details are submitted via a secure server using industry standard encryption. Your credit card details may be kept for up to 7 years as required for accounting purposes. This information will not be used other than for processing payments, accountancy, for preventing and detecting crime and apprehending or prosecuting offenders.
